Over the years, the department aims to achieve the following:
- Completion of Lahore Orange Line Metro Train Project
- Establishment of 9 permanent Axle Load Weigh Stations
- Establishment of 39 Vehicle Inspection and Certification Stations in Punjab
- Development of framework for standardizing the manufacturing and operation of three-wheelers in Punjab
- Expansion of Vehicle Inspection and Certification System to private vehicles
- Induction of Eco Friendly buses in Lahore and other cities of Punjab
- Establishment of train system along Canal Road, Lahore
