The concerned District Regional Transport Authorities grants the following licenses:
Body Building License
This license is issued for workshop fabricating body of transport vehicles in accordance with the standard / specifications provided in the MVO 1965 / MVR 1969.
Good Forwarding Agency License
This license is issued for loading / unloading of goods under Rule 254 of MVR, 1969.
‘C’ Class Stand License
This license is issued for General Bus Stands administered by the District Government Municipal Administration / Tehsil Municipal Administration or other Town Councils / Union Councils under Rule 253 of MVR, 1969.
‘D’ Class Stand License
This license is issued for stands managed by the private operators having at least 8 vehicles in their name or the name of the company under Rule 253 of MVR, 1969.
Procedure
The applicants desiring to have licenses of any of the above categories mentioned above shall make an application to the concerned Secretary, District Regional Transport Authority. The premises are inspected and after completing legal formalities such as NOCs of the Local Administration, licenses are granted by the District Regional Transport Authorities subject to the prescribed conditions. The license holders are directed to pay the license fee in the shape of challans deposited in the State Bank, National Bank of Pakistan under Head of Account No. “XXXXXX receipts - Receipts from Provincial Transport Authority Account of Motor Vehicles Permits Fee”.
