Transport Department, Government of the Punjab was established in 1987. Earlier, it was a cell in the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) under the supervision of the Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Punjab. The establishment of the Transport Department is headed by Secretary with two Additional Secretaries, three Deputy Sectaries, and six Section Officers.
