- Statutory body established under “The Punjab Masstransit Authority Act 2015”
- Mandated to;
- Planning, Construction, Operation and Maintenance of Mass Transit System in major cities of Punjab
- Plan and operate integrated public transport routes
- Plan, construct and maintain infrastructure for public transport routes
- Enter into contracts including concession agreements, grant licenses, leases, make other arrangements
- Currently managing Mass Transit lines in Punjab:
- Lahore (1 Corridor)
- Rawalpindi (1 Corridor)
- Multan (1 Corridor)
- Integration and operation of Feeder Routes in Lahore & Multan
- Implementation of Lahore Orange Line Metro Train is in Progress
